BLC Mathematics Opening

Bethany Lutheran College, a Christian, coeducational, residential liberal arts college owned and operated by the Evangelical Lutheran Synod, invites applications for a full-time, nine-month faculty position in mathematics beginning in August 2007. The Mathematics and Science Division seeks a candidate who will:
- teach lower- and upper-division mathematics and statistics courses for majors and non-majors.
- oversee internships, practica, and independent studies.
- direct and advise mathematics majors.
- work with mathematics faculty to develop the mathematics major, and with faculty from other disciplines to develop interdisciplinary curricula and/or programs.
Minimum qualifications
- Ph.D. in mathematics preferred; ABD considered
- Teaching experience in mathematics and statistics preferred
- Member of the Evangelical Lutheran Synod (ELS) or Wisconsin Evangelical Synod (WELS)
Compensation
Salary is commensurate with experience and background; comprehensive benefit program.
