Holy Baptism
The Holy Spirit makes us holy by Holy Baptism. We take a bath to wash our bodies clean. We are baptized to wash away our sins.
Jesus took away our sins when He died on the cross. When we are baptized, we die on the cross with Jesus. Jesus rose from the dead on Easter Sunday. He will not die again. When we are baptized, we rise from the dead with Jesus. We will never die! '
Our bodies get dirty. We need to take baths often. We need to be baptized only once. Our baptism washes away our sins every day. Through our baptism, the Holy Spirit keeps us safe. Baptism is a powerful promise from God. We are baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Baptism keeps us with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Parents:
When we bring our children to baptism, we bring them to God. We believe that Jesus receives the little ones because He said He would. Since Jesus Himself instituted Holy Baptism and commanded that all nations be baptized, we know that God wants to baptize our children and to give them every blessing that Jesus has won for them.
